Mark Semer has nearly three decades of strategic communications experience and is a trusted advisor to leaders of public and private companies across many industries, investment firms, and the real estate community, among other businesses. Mark advises clients on a wide range of corporate and financial communications matters, including mergers & acquisitions and other transformative transactions; crisis communications; litigation, disputes and regulatory issues; and in-court and out-of-court restructurings.
Prior to joining Gasthalter & Co., Mark spent more than 27 years at Kekst where he was a Partner and co-head of the alternative investment practice.
Mark has deep expertise advising leading alternatives investors on general positioning, as well as with respect to complex issues such as transactions, fundraising, crises and special situations. His relationship with investment firms often extends to portfolio companies that he represents in connection with important challenges and opportunities.
Mark serves on the New York Advisory Board of the Private Equity CFO Association.
He holds a BA in Political Science from Columbia University.
