Mark Semer is a Managing Director at Gasthalter & Co.
Mark has more than 25 years of strategic communications experience and is a trusted advisor to leaders of public and private companies across many industries, investment firms, and the real estate community, among other businesses.
Mark advises clients on a wide range of corporate and financial communications matters, including mergers & acquisitions and other transformative transactions; crisis communications; executive transitions and change management; litigation, disputes and regulatory issues; and restructuring-related situations.
Prior to joining Gasthalter & Co., Mark was a Partner at Kekst and co-head of the firm’s alternative investment practice.
Mark has deep expertise advising leading private equity investors on general positioning, as well as with respect to complex issues such as transactions, fundraising, crises and special situations. His relationship with investment firms often extends to portfolio companies that he represents in connection with important challenges and opportunities.
Throughout his career, Mark has served as an advisor to various non-profit organizations and their boards.
Mark serves on the New York Advisory Board of the Private Equity CFO Association. He is Past President of Young Israel of New Rochelle and is a member of the Wexner Heritage Program.
Mark holds a BA in Political Science from Columbia University.
